On the 29th of October, I was part of a group of Olympic and Paralympic athletes invited to the stadium of light to watch the Sunderland vs Arsenal premiership match.
The day began with a back stage tour of the ground, seeing the changing rooms where the Sunderland players were only moments away from starting their preparations.
After this we were treated to going pitch side, sitting in the dug outs, then to meet the Sky TV crew for a quick interview.
Before the match began the athletes experienced a VIP 3 course dinner. Watching the match from the executive seats was a fantastic experience.
The chance to go on the pitch at half time was once in a life time, speaking to the crowd of 45,000 people.
I really enjoyed the opportunity to mix with other athletes from Rio was a fantastic experience, reminiscing about our time in Brazil.
